With more than 34 years of technician experience, Rory Eckhardt is the owner/operator of Glenrock, Wyoming’s Renegade Off-Road & Driveline Repair. “We don’t see many regular road vehicles in the shop. But, we do service a lot of work trucks," he said.
Most of the work trucks that Eckhardt services with fuel injector issues are Ford, Chevy and Dodge diesels. He’s also seen an increase in Cummins-powered vehicles in the past few years, a testament to the reliability of these engines. Simple Fix To Busted Power Stroke Fuel Injector Bolts

Recently, Eckhardt’s largest customer, a roustabout crew that specializes in welding, brought him their 2013 Ford F350 Super Duty to fix. Following an initial inspection, it became clear that two fuel injector bolts were busted. After talking it over with other technicians, the consensus seemed to be that the best way to make the repair was to pull the cylinder head.
Eckhardt knew there must be a more economic and timely way to get the job done. He wanted to save his customer money by delivering value. Besides, the quicker he could get the roustabouts’ truck back to work in the oil patch, the sooner his customers could make money.
