ProMAXX Tool introduces their second specialty tool for the Ford Explorer.

PITTSBURGH — ProMAXX Tool has made another advancement to their line of exhaust manifold repair tools with the introduction of the Tarin ProKit (PMXTRN200PRO) capable of removing hardened exhaust manifold bolts in the 4.0L Ford Explorer.

The Ford Explorer has been a top seller since its introduction in 1991. As one of the most popular SUVs on the market, it is known for having strong chassis and powertrain layouts. The 4WD makes for a smooth drive while being able to carry a substantial payload. Ford produced a very reliable 4.0L Explorer between 1999-2010, the 2nd through 4th generation. Though reliable, the different generations are now between 10-20 years old and are beginning to experience broken exhaust manifold studs. The Tarin ProKit is a productive solution for this challenging repair.

The Tarin ProKit combines ProMAXX Tool’s precision-engineered guide plates (commonly called drill templates or jigs) with machine shop-grade drill bit tooling that is capable of drilling through the hardened metal in broken bolts. This ProKit will allow technicians facing broken manifold bolts on 4.0L Ford Explorer engines to make the repair in a fraction of the time they faced without the kit.
