From Family ...

My family was in the car business for more than 50 years. As a kid turned car aficionado, I enjoyed getting under a hood to see how these big block engines pushed around the large cars that were on the road at the time. I love cars, especially the classics. The more power, the better. Screaming 427 DOHC Fords, 427 Chevys and Dodge 440s were monsters and you could hear them coming from down the street. You remember the days, when high schoolers would cruise the boulevard in their Chevelle SS, Cudas or Mustangs that grabbed everyone’s attention. It was a long time ago, but I can still smell the un-burned fuel and remember how worried mothers cleared their kids from the sidewalks. Those days were cool.

To Founder ...

Fast forward nearly fifteen years…One morning I was starting up my ‘06 Ford Explorer and I heard that familiar ticking sound…A bad lifter? A broken exhaust manifold mounting bolt?

It was then, that our Rocky™ Exhaust Manifold Bolt Repair Kit was born. The Rocky Kit was named after one of my four brothers. This consequently led to names for other kits like Butch, Elizabeth, Alan, Mikki, Dale, Myra, Marcia and Mike. When I ran out of my siblings’ names I began to use the next generation. The Nino (Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel EGR Tube Broken Bolt Repair Kit) after our son Antonino, and Rosina, our daughter. It continues with other family members such as Anthony, Alberto and Nico.

So there you have it, the names of ProMAXX® Tool are from my family. It’s kind of neat to have tools named after family members. And, just as each kit is special and unique, so are the tools. Every tool is designed, developed, and tested by me. Not in the lab, but in a real car, in a real shop with the real thing —preparing to fix a real problem. So, when you see that ’87 Coyote powered Mustang Vert with two legs sticking out from under the chassis, say hello. It’s just me working on making it new again.
