Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the ProBody™
- Remove any protruding portion of the fastener above the valve cover.
- Insert the ProBody™ flange side into the injector passage, centering it over the hold-down bolt.
- Tighten the chrome hex nut using a 9/16” deep socket or wrench until the ProBody™ is secure.
Step 2: Drill the Damaged Bolt
- Insert the ProBushing™ PPB3125 into the ProBody™.
- Use the SPJC125 tooling bit in a 3/8” capacity drill at 500–600 RPM.
- Apply ProMAXX® ProLube™ cutting fluid to the bushing and tooling bit.
- Replace the SPJC125 bit with the SPJC266 bit and swap the PPB3125 bushing for the PPB3266 bushing.
- Drill continuously until the fastener is completely removed.
Step 3: Remove the ProBody™ Assembly
- Loosen the chrome hex nut.
- Lightly tap the ProArbor™ with a plastic-faced hammer.
- Remove the ProBody™ assembly and lift off the valve cover.
