ProRatchet User Guide Info
Instructions: ProRatchet
Thank you for purchasing the ProMAXX® PPR5260 ProRatchet™. Our objective in engineering was to deliver speed and power at unprecedented levels in a 1/4” drive application resulting in the most powerful air-wrench on the market today. The combination of 600 RPM and 45 FT-LBS of torque provides new levels of versatility as both a ratchet and driver/drill. Outfitted with the ProMAXX® ProChuck, the device can both spin exhaust manifold bolts free, and if necessary, drill through them for ProTractor™ extraction or ProMAXX® Extractorless™ operation.
Before using the ProRatchet™, place a few drops of oil in the air inlet to lubricate the rotor. Maintain air pressure of approximately 90 PSI of clean, dry air. Pressure, which is too low, reduces the efficiency and performance of the device. Pressure, which is too high, will cause excessive wear. ProMAXX® recommends using a few drops of ProMAXX® ProLube to clean and lubricate the outside of the ProRatchet™, minimizing rust and maintaining proper functioning of the forward and reverse operation.
TIP: The ProMAXX PPC250A ProChuck assembly is engineered to the same ANSI standards that your high-quality sockets are. All are loose fitting by design, however, to minimize wobble of the chuck and ratchet connection, ProMAXX recommends creating a plastic shim from a common parts bag. Simply place a piece over the ProRatchet head then press the ProChuck assembly on the head and remove the excess shim. This will reduce the wobble and deliver more energy toward the drilling operation. For more information on this and other productive solutions, check out www.promaxxtool.com
